Many people, sometimes with good reason, are put off because too many Christians fail to practice what they preach.
I'm sure Ilford Baptist Church is not all you would want it to be, but I can promise that we are doing our best (imperfectly, of course) to live as followers of Christ.
This church is a place where the lonely and isolated find a ready welcome, where burdens can be shared and where love finds practical expression in a variety of ways.

am conscious that for many people today, the Christian Church is
viewed as being irrelevant to modern life, a relic of a previous
age now long gone. I understand why such a view prevails but I
cannot agree.
